Thank you to the homeowners who attended the annual meeting, this is just a short summary of subjects that were discussed.
- Adding an amendment to the current by-laws to include allowing sheds. There will be a committee, 3 homeowners volunteered, they will decide on the details of the sheds. Example will include, max size, color, material, placement on the lot, ensure that the sheds will blend in the neighborhood. There will be a vote, it will be done by going door to door with a notary. Per the attorneys advise the signatures of all home owners are to be notarized on the voting ballots. Unlike the vote that occurred in 2022 the ballots will not be mailed. Going door to door with a notary will ensure the process will be simple and easier to complete. More to come on this vote very soon.
- Speeding vehicles on Barbara Sue, we will talk to the City to find out if anything can be done about the issue. Example, speed bumps, improve police involvement with radar, speed sign with lights.
- Golf carts, recently there have been increased golf carts riding through the neighborhood. Some are being driven & occupied by children as many as 8-9 in the cart. This is SO VERY DANGEROUS, something needs to change before there is an accident. Mt Washington police have been notified, according to the law the carts are considered vehicles. Which includes licensed drivers are the only people who can operate them. They need to be insured, licensed , this is just an example. The law is very extensive, we have copies of it, if you’d like one to be mailed send an email & it can be sent to you. Or stop by the police station & ask for it.
- Increased solicitors in the neighborhood, even tho its posted they still come. They need to have a permit from the city to solicit anywhere in the city. We will have another sign added to the entrance.
Remember, you need to be a good neighbor to have a good neighbor. It starts with you, we all have the same goal in the neighborhood we live. We want our space to be clean & safe, it’s the goal of the HOA to follow & enforce the by-laws & restrictions to make this happen. Please if you have any questions, concerns, or requests email the HOA, we will do our best to answer in a timely manner.
